Babysitter For Hire

Hailey completed her first (o.k.....second, but she has to make an appearance on the blog!) official babysitting job tonight! She watched our cute little one year old neighbor, Paige, while her Daddy took her older brothers to wrestling practice. Paige cried for a little while, but Hailey was able to calm her down and play with her. The pay was a bonus! Hailey looks forward to more babysitting in the future!! Can she really be old enough to be babysitting already????

We are in the middle of wrestling season and everyone (well, o.k. maybe not Hailey) is really enjoying it! Tyler is having a good year, Luke improves every time he is on the mat, and Cole can't get enough. We go to practice most Monday nights just to watch and get to quite a few of the tournaments. Here are a few highlights from the season so far!!

The Hirsch boys BOTH took first place at the Little Bobcat Tournament at Western Dubuque. Way to go boys!!!

Go Little Blazers!! The boys took first place in the team competition at Western Dubuque as well. Look at those champion smiles :)

Woo! Hoo! We took a team of ten boys to the Cedar Rapids Future Saints Duals last weekend. Our Little Blazers took first place over Cedar Rapids Linn Mar, Kennedy and Xavier. Winning the championship was awesome, but the way the boys supported one another and the real sense of team that was created was priceless. So proud of our boys and the coaches, too!

Gingerbread Houses

It is tradition for us to make gingerbread houses on the first snow day in December. The gingerbread kits St. Nick brings are soooo much easier than the graham cracker houses I used to hot glue together!! There is never enough variety of candy in the kits however, so we always pick out more. Note to self....do not make houses before eating lunch next year.

First Grade Christmas Musical

Luke played the part of one of King Herad's advisors in his school's Christmas Musical. His buddy Mason was King Herod. These two may be giving advice to one another ten years from now, but it will probably be about wrestling moves or a girl.

Luke and Tyler Take First at Hempstead

Last weekend Luke and Tyler wretsted at the Dubuque Hempstead Little Mustang Tournament. The Little Blazers had a great showing....38 little wrestlers were in action. It was a fun tournament to watch with so many Little Blazers to watch. Our boys both took first place which made it even more fun. This was Luke's first place this season, so he was very proud. He carried his trophy all over the gym show it to everyone.
